LED Color Codes

  • WHITE to GREEN normal
  • BLUE – bootloader mode FX3 failed to initiate but is programmable via USB
  • Faint or pulsing RED – low power use AUX power supply
  • RED – FX3 failed to initiate

Note: When programming the FX3

     AUX power should be removed
     SFP module should be removed

First Method
1. Power cycle camera.
2. Make sure no SFP modules are attached
3. Close SCC
4. Relaunch SCC
5. Using SCC Upgrade the FX3
6. IF THIS FAILS

Second Method
7. Power Camera off for 10 minutes
8. If LED is Blue camera has reset to bootloader device
9. Using SCC Upgrade.
10. IF THIS FAILS

Third Method\\ 11. Download Cypress USB Control center from wiki.sub2r FX3 Upgrade Gone Wild
12. Download FX3 img file from Wiki.sub2r FX3 upgrade gone wild
13. Plug in USB cable
14. Launch Cypress USB Control Center - CCC
15. If you see SUB2r USB3.0 HD Camera in the left panel
16. USE SCC to update the FX3
17. If you see Cypress FX3 USB BootLoader Device Choose this
18. Choose Program
19. Choose FX3
20. Choose SPI Flash
21. From a drop down menu select the file location you saved the FX3 img file to and select SUB2r_FX3_1_1_4_5_##.img

Alternative if CCC sees device as SUB USB3.0 HD Camera
22. From SCC select Expert Tabe
23. From the drop down select FPGA Console…
24. First drop down menu will indicate Check if BL is Running - select drop down
25. Chose Bootloarder mode
26. RUN
27. OK
28. Camera should now appear in CCC as a Cypress FX3 Bootloader Device
29. Go to step 17
